Introduction to survival skills
Throughout the stay, we will share with you everything we have learned during our years of nights in nature.
Navigation, tracking, managing basic survival needs, and many other topics will be covered in more or less depth depending on each participant’s interests.
Itinerary
DAY 1:
10am: arrival and equipment review
Learning fire lighting techniques
Hike to the lake and orientation exercise
12pm: lunch break
Survival basics workshop
Setting up the camp
7pm: participatory meal around the fire (traditional salmon soup)
Night orientation debriefing
10pm: lights out
DAY 2:
8am: breakfast, packing up the camp and return walk
10am: end of the activity
Equipment to bring
- Everything you consider useful for a night in the forest.
- Discreet clothing is recommended
- Knife
- Picnic lunch (midday)
- Sleeping bag suitable for temperatures (around -5°C to 10°C)
- Hiking boots or waterproof boots (depending on the weather)
- A cup and a spoon
- Headlamp
- Trekking mat (optional)
